Terrance Parsons has joined Olsson Associates as a senior project engineer for the Kansas City Southland’s land development team. At Olsson, he is responsible for work as a civil site designer, where he leads a site finishing team, and he also provides design expertise for road and storm sewer improvements.
Parsons is a registered professional engineer with 15 years of site and civil design experience. He has managed the civil portion of several large-scale projects, including the Kusile Power Plant in South Africa, the downtown Sprint Arena, and the Lewis and Clark Command and General Staff College. Previously, Parsons served as a project manager with responsibilities that entailed leading a design team comprised of design engineers, technicians, and sub-consultants who were responsible for preparing plans, specifications, and estimates. His responsibilities also included designing stormwater conveyance systems and roads; and coordinating construction solutions with project contractors, utility companies, and local authorities. He also has experience with municipal clients, acting as the city engineer for several municipalities and managing numerous government-funded projects.
