Olsson Associates and Tri-State Engineering (TSE) have completed negotiations and signed a definitive purchase agreement for Olsson to acquire TSE.The transaction is expected to close on July 18, 2016.
Terms of the acquisition will not be released.
"Our firms have worked together on Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery in Joplin and on other projects in the region,” said Ron Mersch, the office leader for Olsson’s Springfield and Joplin locations. “TSE has a great reputation in the four-state area and helps us expand our firm’s presence."
TSE will become “Tri-State Engineering, a division of Olsson Associates” from July 18 through the end of 2016. They will take on the Olsson Associates name in 2017.
“We have had a great partnership with Olsson on a number of projects,” said Clayton Cristy, CEO with TSE. “Joining the firm takes our relationship further and provides growth opportunities for all of us.”
TSE’s staff will remain unchanged. They will continue to serve their clients as they had before the acquisition.
“All of our employees will remain with the firm,” Cristy said. “Our clients can expect us to continue providing great service, but we’ll have additional resources and experts to pull from for their more specialized projects. We also see this as a great way for our employees to get involved in bigger projects and have more development opportunities.”
