Olsson Associates, a national engineering and design firm, has acquired Ochsner Hare & Hare (OHH), a Kansas City planning and landscape architecture design firm.
Olsson announced its acquisition plans in September, and the deal was finalized and signed today. Terms of the acquisition will not be released.
OHH will maintain its office in downtown Kansas City at 1801 McGee Street, Suite #101. All staff members will remain with the firm.
“OHH brings some extraordinary talent to the table, and their skills tie seamlessly to the core services we offer across Olsson Associates,” said Olsson President Brad Strittmatter. “Their history of projects and creative design will provide more resources to our clients who will be able to take advantage of our services from idea through construction.”
“This is an exciting opportunity for all of us,” said Ken Boone, who will serve as team leader for the firm’s design studio. “We are combining our legacy of 100-plus years of planning and landscape architecture with the award-winning engineering design of Olsson Associates.”
“We will continue to serve our clients with the same attention and quality that are the hallmark of our history,” Boone said.
OHH and Olsson Associates have experience working together. Joint projects include The Legends at Village West and Summit Fair shopping center plazas in the Kansas City area, the Museum at Prairiefire and the Aksarben Village Streetscape in Omaha.
