Olsson Associates, a full-service engineering design firm, has moved to a new and larger office in Manhattan. The move is part of the firm’s commitment to expand its engineering presence and power delivery services and provide services in utility and industrial electrical systems.
“Our existing office is at capacity, yet our Power Transmission and Distribution [T&D] team continues to grow,” said Paul Williams, program leader for the T&D team. “The new location is a more modern work environment with more space to grow as we hire additional engineers and other professional staff here in Manhattan who will support T&D projects throughout the U.S.”
Since March, several employees have been added to the T&D staff, and the team continues to grow.
“Olsson’s Manhattan office has enjoyed good growth in the public and private markets across Kansas and will continue to develop our statewide presence,” said Mark Bachamp, office leader for the Manhattan office. “I am excited with the growth we have had. Adding Paul Williams and the T&D services brings another strong commitment to Manhattan.”
Olsson’s Manhattan office has relocated across the street from its former location at 301 S. Fourth Street into the Civics Plus building at 302 S. Fourth Street, Suite 110. The staff will be in place at the new location by the end of August.
Olsson Associates offers comprehensive design and consulting services in site/civil, transportation, water, environmental, field operations, survey and facilities. Olsson’s clients are in the public and private sectors. The firm was ranked No. 116 on Engineering News-Record’s top 500 design firms national list in 2016.
Established in 1956, Olsson has nearly 30 offices in the Midwest and Southwest U.S. The employee-owned firm has more than 1,000 employees firmwide.
