Former state director Brian Dunnigan joins Olsson Associates

Brian Dunnigan, PEBrian Dunnigan, former Nebraska Department of Natural Resources director, has joined Olsson Associates as team leader for Olsson’s Nebraska Water Resources team. In his role, Dunnigan will not only lead the team’s staff members and resources, he’ll also continue fostering the team’s high performance, expertise and client relations expectations this team is known for.

“Brian is the right fit to fill this critical position at Olsson,” said Brian Chaffin, Olsson’s Lincoln office leader. “He is an experienced team leader who understands the issues that citizens, cities and producers face in their needs for water.” 

Dunnigan has 28 years of water resources experience with the state of Nebraska. This experience includes an extensive technical background in floodplain management and water resources development. He also has a broad range of managerial skills that allowed him to effectively run a state agency consisting of more than 109 personnel and an annual budget of more than $58 million. 

“I am very pleased to be joining such a fine team of professionals at Olsson Associates,” said Dunnigan. “Further, I look forward to working with clients to help them solve their water resources challenges.”

Dunnigan’s first day at Olsson Associates is December 8.
