The suburban skyline of West Des Moines, Iowa, will be changed by 2018. R&R Realty Group, based in Iowa, will develop the Westfield Office complex along Jordan Creek Parkway, just south of the Interstate 80 interchange. The buildings will provide 180,000 square feet of floor space that will ultimately house the realty company’s corporate headquarters. Olsson Associates has been selected to provide several services.
“This is a signature project for R&R Realty,” said Jeremy Shepherd, team leader for Olsson’s Des Moines Site/Civil team. “We are thankful to be providing our expertise for the project. We’ve been working with R&R for several years and it’s been a great relationship.”
Olsson’s scope of services includes conceptual site planning, survey, entitlement services including preliminary/final platting and site plan approval, and final construction documents for the development. Located on 13 acres in County Club Office Plaza, the Westfield Complex will consist of two four-story office wings. The wings will be connected by a commons building that will feature a state-of-the-art collaboration center. Development of the complex is underway with completion and initial occupancy slated for early 2018.
“This is the last greenfield site R&R owns along the Jordan Creek Parkway corridor,” Jeremy said. “The company bought the land for Country Club Office Plaza back in the late 1980s and they’ve made the growth happen in this area - it’s been a huge success.”
